Amazon Pan-European FBA Stock Transfers and Inventory Handling
ZQ’s Delft facility can receive stock from suppliers, ZQ’s China warehouse, and Amazon removal orders. It can then prepare the stock for Amazon fulfillment centers in Europe.
ZQ does not manage the seller account or decide where stock should go. Once the goods arrive, the warehouse follows the approved work instructions. It then prepares the stock for its next sales channel or inbound shipment.
Common Amazon use cases include:
- Amazon removal inventory arrives in separate batches and must be received, checked, and combined.
- Products need an FNSKU, an old barcode must be covered, or a label is damaged or unreadable.
- Inventory must be repacked before it can be sent back to Amazon FBA.
- Consolidated goods from China must be unpacked, counted, and rebuilt around a new Amazon shipment plan after arrival in the Netherlands.
- Inventory returned by Amazon must be checked first. It can then go back to FBA, move to another channel, or await the seller’s next instruction.
- Some stock needs to move from the Amazon route to TikTok Shop, TEMU, or another European sales channel.
Amazon Inventory Handling Process
How Amazon Inventory Is Handled After Arrival
Five steps from warehouse receipt to handoff for an Amazon fulfillment center.
An Amazon FBA inbound shipment takes more than delivery to an assigned address. Carton contents, carton count, weight, dimensions, and FBA carton labels must match the shipment plan confirmed by the seller. Each carton needs the correct FBA shipment label. Pallet shipments also need the required pallet labels and handoff preparation.
Handle FNSKU Labels and Final Cartons Separately
Product labeling and final carton setup are two different jobs.
Product-level preparation covers work on each item, such as:
- Applying FNSKU labels.
- Covering UPC or EAN barcodes.
- Applying warning labels.
- Poly bagging and bag warnings.
- Building product sets.
- Adding inserts.
- Basic product packaging.
ZQ’s China warehouse can complete this repeatable work before export. It is best suited to stable batches with clear labeling rules.
Final carton setup and Amazon shipment preparation cover the shipment that will actually go to Amazon, such as:
- Allocating stock to the final shipment plan.
- Sorting by destination or shipment rules.
- Confirming the SKUs and quantity in each carton.
- Repacking cartons or changing carton sizes.
- Recording final carton weight and dimensions.
- Applying FBA carton labels.
- Palletizing, stretch wrapping, and applying pallet labels.
- Arranging carrier pickup.
This work should usually stay at the Delft warehouse. The goods must reach Europe before these details can be confirmed. The Delft team first checks the physical stock, then confirms the Amazon destination, shipment plan, carton contents, and shipping method.
Amazon Removal Receiving and Relabeling Fees
When Amazon removal inventory returns to Delft, bulk return receiving is charged by carton weight. An inbound notice must be created before arrival. Shipments without notice are charged an extra €2 per carton. A carrier status of “delivered” does not confirm warehouse receipt. Final quantities are based on the goods physically received by the warehouse.
| Carton Weight or Arrival Method | Receiving Fee |
|---|---|
| 0 < X ≤ 5 kg | €1 per carton |
| 5 < X ≤ 10 kg | €1.50 per carton |
| 10 < X ≤ 22 kg | €2 per carton |
| 22 < X ≤ 30 kg | €3 per carton |
| 30 < X ≤ 50 kg | €4 per carton |
| 50 < X ≤ 68 kg | €5 per carton |
| X > 68 kg | €10 per carton |
| Full pallet on arrival (1.2 × 1 × 1.8 m) | €10 per pallet |
If returned inventory needs new FNSKU labels, the standard relabeling fees are:
| Unit Weight | FNSKU Relabeling Fee |
|---|---|
| 0 < X ≤ 30 kg | €0.50 per unit |
| 30 < X ≤ 68 kg | €1 per unit |
| X > 68 kg | €2 per unit |
These rates apply when the product can be identified from its original SKU label. A separate quote is needed if the original label is missing. The same applies to mixed-SKU batches with low quantities, or items that must be opened before labeling. Relabeling instructions should also state the carton requirements and planned dispatch date.
How the China and Delft Warehouses Divide the Work
| Task | ZQ China Warehouse | ZQ Delft Warehouse (Small Batches) |
|---|---|---|
| FNSKU product labeling | Best for batch processing | Supports urgent or exception work |
| UPC/EAN covering | Best for batch processing | Supported |
| Kitting, inserts, and basic packaging | Best for batch processing | Supports local rework in Europe |
| Relabeling | Usually more cost-effective | Available as needed |
| Consolidation and export cartons | Suitable | Can unpack and rebuild cartons after arrival |
| Final shipment plan matching | Should not be fixed too early | Best for final confirmation |
| FBA carton labels | Usually not completed in advance | Applied to the final shipment setup |
| Carton contents and final carton review | Can prepare data in advance | Based on stock physically received |
| Amazon removal handling | Not applicable | Core service |
| European return handling | Not applicable | Core service |
For large-volume orders, contact ZQ customer service before ordering to confirm warehouse capacity.
Consolidation after labeling, kitting, and basic packaging in China does not automatically make that item-level work invalid. The labels must remain secure, clear, and scannable. Each export carton must also be traceable to the correct SKUs, quantities, and batch.
The original Amazon carton data may become invalid during consolidation. This can happen if cartons are opened, mixed, rebuilt, or resized. For this reason, final Amazon shipment work should remain in Delft. This includes FBA carton labels, carton checks, pallet preparation, and dispatch to the assigned destination.
Shipping From Delft to Amazon’s European Network
Amazon assigns the final destination based on the seller’s shipment plan, network capacity, product details, and inbound rules. The Delft warehouse does not ship to one fixed Amazon facility. It books the suitable European route for each confirmed shipment plan.
The times below are planning estimates for standard road transport after the goods leave Delft and enter the carrier network. Actual transit may vary by destination, transport method, appointment, carrier schedule, public holidays, and Amazon receiving conditions.
| Destination | Planned Standard Transit From Delft |
|---|---|
| Netherlands and Belgium | 1–2 business days |
| Western Germany | 1–2 business days |
| Central Germany | 2–3 business days |
| Northern and Eastern France | 1–3 business days |
| Western Poland | 2–3 business days |
| Czechia and Slovakia | 2–4 business days |
| Northern Italy | 2–4 business days |
| Central and Southern Italy | 3–5 business days |
| Northern and Central Spain | 3–5 business days |
| Southern Spain | 4–6 business days |
These estimates do not include:
- Receiving, labeling, repacking, or outbound handling time in Delft.
- Time needed to create or change the Amazon shipment plan.
- Carrier booking and pickup scheduling.
- Appointments, unloading queues, delivery acceptance, receiving scans, or putaway at the Amazon fulfillment center.
- Delays caused by customs, documents, or cargo problems.
- Weekends and local public holidays.
ZQ handles warehouse work and carrier handoff. The carrier handles transport. Amazon handles destination appointments, unloading, receiving scans, and FBA putaway.
TikTok Shop Fulfillment From the Netherlands
ZQ’s Delft warehouse can support TikTok Shop sellers that need local fulfillment in Europe. The team can process and pack orders, handle platform labels, and hand parcels to a carrier or 4PL. It can also manage returns and delivery exceptions.
TikTok Shop Local Order Process
Six steps after an order reaches the Delft warehouse.
TikTok Shop orders and Amazon FBA transfers use separate workflows. They have different order sources, labels, handoff rules, timing rules, and return routes.
Under an approved workflow, the Delft warehouse can handle:
- TikTok Shop order import.
- SKU and order matching.
- Picking, packing, and order checks.
- Platform shipping labels.
- 4PL pickup preparation.
- Carrier sorting and handoff scans.
- Tracking-number updates.
- Rejected parcels, returns, and replacement shipments.
- Volume and capacity planning before promotions or live-selling events.
The TikTok Shop account must have an eligible warehouse setup. Under a 4PL model, the seller manages inventory while the platform or its logistics partner may collect parcels for final delivery. The exact setup depends on the store’s market and current platform rules.
TEMU Semi-Managed Order Fulfillment
ZQ’s Delft warehouse can ship TEMU orders from stock held in Europe. This applies to semi-managed or seller-fulfilled accounts, subject to confirmed order, label, and carrier rules.
TEMU Semi-Managed Order Process
Five steps for shipping local European inventory.
TEMU orders, Amazon shipments, and TikTok Shop orders follow separate workflows. This prevents confusion between their labels, lead times, handoff methods, and return rules.
Services may include:
- TEMU order import.
- Authorized API, ERP, or middleware connections.
- SKU mapping and order validation.
- Platform shipping labels.
- Picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Handoff to the assigned carrier or shipping route.
- Tracking-number updates.
- Canceled orders and order exceptions.
- Receiving and checking local European returns.
- Order-handling plans for major promotions.
TEMU integration, label, and fulfillment rules depend on the seller account’s market, operating model, and authorized system access. Confirm the setup for the actual store and business model before launch.
Receiving, Putaway, and Inventory Status
Every inbound shipment should have usable advance information, such as:
- An ASN or inbound notice.
- A packing list.
- Carton count.
- A SKU list.
- ASIN, FNSKU, or product barcode details.
- Batch, expiry-date, or serial-number details.
- Expected quantities.
- Special handling instructions.
After arrival, ZQ receives, scans, and checks the goods against the advance information.
Inbound Receiving and Inventory Status
Five steps from advance notice to confirmed inventory status.
ZQ tracks the status of stock physically stored in Delft. Statuses may include received, available, returned, or awaiting inspection, labels, or repacking. Stock may also be allocated to Amazon, held for an exception, or awaiting action.
This is not the same as syncing inventory held inside Amazon FBA. FBA inventory in Seller Central remains subject to Amazon’s records. ZQ only manages and reports stock and work status for goods physically held in Delft.
Problem Inventory and OS&D Handling
Goods move to an exception area when the shipment does not match its records. This includes shortages, overages, wrong SKUs, carton damage, unreadable barcodes, and incorrect labels. They are not released as available inventory.
An exception record may include:
- Expected and actual quantities.
- Carton or pallet numbers.
- SKU, ASIN, or FNSKU details.
- A description of the issue.
- Photo records.
- A suggested next step.
- Instructions that require seller approval.
ZQ will not dispose of goods without written seller approval or a disposal rule agreed in advance. Unsellable, damaged, or unconfirmed stock remains in the relevant exception area. It stays there until the seller approves rework, return shipping, disposal, recycling, or another action.
ZQ can perform simple physical rework on problem inventory. Work that requires a qualified electrician, painter, or another specialist must be reviewed and quoted separately.
Warehouse Lead Times in Regular and Peak Seasons
Standard Lead Times
During regular operations, shipments that meet the notice and handling requirements have these warehouse lead times:
- Inbound: After unloading and document checks, standard goods are processed within 24 working hours. This covers quantity checks, scanning, status updates, and putaway.
- Outbound: Standard orders and transfer shipments are processed within 24 working hours when they meet the agreed cut-off. Instructions must be complete. This time covers picking, packing, documents, and carrier handoff preparation.
These lead times apply to standard goods with complete documents, clear barcodes, and identifiable SKUs. There must be no open discrepancies, complex inspections, or large value-added projects.
Peak-Season Lead Times
During the peak season from November through January:
- Inbound:Standard inbound goods are processed within 48 working hours.
- Outbound:Standard orders and confirmed transfer shipments are processed within 48 working hours and prepared for handoff.
Peak-season lead times depend on reserved space and capacity. They may also change with inbound carton volume, daily orders, SKU complexity, units per order, labeling or repacking needs, and promotions. Confirm the work plan early for large Amazon removals, TikTok Shop promotions, TEMU campaigns, or high-volume relabeling projects.
This SLA covers processing inside ZQ’s Delft warehouse only. It does not include carrier transit, Amazon destination appointments, delivery acceptance, receiving scans, or FBA putaway.
Weekend Arrivals
ZQ’s Delft warehouse operates on a normal Monday-to-Friday schedule unless both parties agree otherwise in writing.
Goods that arrive on Saturday, Sunday, or outside working hours enter the receiving queue on the next business day. A shipment may enter the exception process if it lacks advance notice or complete records. The same applies when manual identification is needed. The standard inbound lead time may not apply.
European Returns and Removal Inventory
The Delft warehouse can handle these types of European reverse logistics:
- Amazon removal inventory.
- TikTok Shop returns.
- TEMU returns.
- Carrier returns.
- Customer-refused parcels.
- Goods with damaged packaging or missing accessories.
- Inventory that needs relabeling, repacking, or inspection before resale.
Standard Return Receiving and Quick Inspection Fees
Create an inbound notice before a standard single-item return reaches the warehouse. Returns without notice are charged an extra €2 per carton. Receiving and quick inspection fees are based on unit weight:
| Unit Weight | Receiving and Quick Inspection Fee |
|---|---|
| 0 < X ≤ 1 kg | €2 per unit |
| 1 < X ≤ 3 kg | €3 per unit |
| 3 < X ≤ 5 kg | €3.50 per unit |
| 5 < X ≤ 10 kg | €4.50 per unit |
| 10 < X ≤ 22 kg | €5 per unit |
| 22 < X ≤ 30 kg | €6 per unit |
| 30 < X ≤ 50 kg | €6.50 per unit |
| 50 < X ≤ 68 kg | €7 per unit |
| X > 68 kg | €10 per unit |
A quick inspection includes a quantity check and a visual check. It also includes one close-up photo of a problem item and return to the original packaging. As a standard rule, goods with no clear damage to the retail box are received as sellable. Confirm any different grading rule in advance.
Return Disposal Fees
These fees apply only when the seller clearly requests disposal. Direct disposal on arrival and disposal after putaway involve different work:
| Method | Unit Weight | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Direct disposal on arrival | 0 < X ≤ 10 kg | €0.40 per unit |
| 10 < X ≤ 22 kg | €0.80 per unit | |
| Disposal after putaway | 0 < X ≤ 10 kg | €0.50 per unit |
| 10 < X ≤ 22 kg | €1 per unit |
For direct disposal on arrival, ZQ only provides the receiving address. The warehouse does not sign in, put away, or report receipt data for these goods. Disposal after putaway includes stock removal and disposal. For units above 22 kg, each extra kilogram costs €0.20 per unit.
Optional Value-Added Service Fees
These charges do not apply to every return. They are billed only when the seller requests and uses the related service:
| Value-Added Service | Rate | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Item refurbishment | €1.50–€8 per unit, based on weight | May include replacing a retail box or accessory, bagging, cartoning, and labeling. Materials are not included. Work outside the standard scope needs a separate quote. |
| Repacking or carton replacement | Standard returns: €5 per carton. Bulk returns: €5 per carton with 0–10 SKUs, or €8 with 11–30 SKUs | Carton materials are not included. Ask for a quote when one carton contains more than 30 SKUs. |
| Extra requested photos | €1 per photo | Extra product photos requested by the customer. |
| Outbound palletization | €20 per pallet | Includes pallet setup, stretch wrap, and the pallet. |
Repairs that need an electrician, painter, or another specialist must be reviewed and quoted separately.
Storage Fees for Returned Inventory
After returned goods are received, continued storage in Delft is charged by storage age and occupied volume. See Netherlands 3PL vs Direct Dropshipping: Which Costs Less? for the Netherlands warehouse storage rates.
European Returns and Removal Inventory Process
Four steps after returned stock reaches the warehouse.
If a return cannot be matched to its original order, SKU, or owner, ZQ holds it for review. It is not returned directly to sellable inventory.
For Amazon removal inventory, ZQ can follow seller instructions to:
- Receive separate batches and total the cartons.
- Check SKUs and quantities.
- Separate sellable and damaged stock.
- Apply FNSKU labels, cover old barcodes, or replace labels.
- Repack products.
- Prepare a new Amazon FBA shipment.
- Move goods to TikTok Shop, TEMU, or another assigned channel.
- Hold problem inventory for later action.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can ZQ’s Delft warehouse receive an Amazon removal order that arrives in several deliveries?
Yes. ZQ’s Delft warehouse can receive one Amazon removal order in several separate deliveries. The seller must submit an inbound notice before the first delivery and provide the removal order details, expected SKUs and quantities, and tracking numbers when available. ZQ records each delivery based on the goods physically received and can combine the received batches for inspection, relabeling, repacking, storage, or onward shipping under the seller’s instructions.
Can ZQ relabel products if the FNSKU changes after the inventory has arrived in Europe?
Yes. We can cover the old barcode and apply the new FNSKU label according to the seller’s confirmed instructions. The seller must provide the correct FNSKU label file, SKU mapping, packing requirements, and planned dispatch time.
Can the same stock at ZQ Delft support Amazon FBA replenishment, TikTok Shop, and TEMU orders?
Yes. Stock stored at ZQ’s Delft warehouse can be used for Amazon FBA replenishment and for TikTok Shop or TEMU orders. The seller decides where the stock should go and sends the related order or shipping instructions to ZQ. ZQ then picks, packs, labels, and ships the goods according to each platform’s requirements while updating the physical inventory record in the Delft warehouse.
What records can ZQ provide if Amazon delays receiving or checking in a shipment after carrier handover?
ZQ can provide available warehouse and carrier-handover records, including the carton count, shipment reference, carton weights and dimensions, carrier collection confirmation, and tracking details when available.
If the shipment is returned to Delft, rejected, or needs relabeling, reboxing, or another correction before it can be sent back to Amazon, ZQ can carry out the rework approved by the seller. Amazon manages fulfillment-center appointments, unloading, receiving scans, check-in, and final FBA inventory availability. These steps fall outside ZQ’s warehouse lead-time commitment.
